Removing Rust From Metal Can Be Done In 10 Minutes Says New Report From Planet Amazing

Austin, Texas (PRWEB) March 19, 2012

For those wondering how to remove rust from tools, cast iron, metal, or other surfaces, a new report from Planet Amazing shows the benefits of a new rust remover product called Oxystrip, including the quick 10 minute treatment time and safe non-toxic, environmentally friendly status as an EPA approved rust remover. This non-toxic product is the safest rust remover on the market the report says.

“Removing rust is easier than most people think,” says Justin Douglas of Planet Amazing. “Rust can now be easily removed from toys, tools and machinery, as well as household surfaces and concrete, with the new Oxystrip rust remover liquid from Planet Amazing,” he says. “Oxystrip also protects the surface for the future. It works in about 10 to 15 minutes. Apply Oxystrip to a rusted surface. Let it penetrate for 10 to 15 minutes and rinse the surface. Oxystrip contains special additives to prevent further rusting.”

“Oxystrip can be used on metals, automotive parts, toilets, tubs, tile, concrete, metal siding and machinery,” Mr. Douglas explains. “Rusting of metals is caused by a process called metal oxidation. In short, the surface of the metal is deteriorated by chemical reactions inherent to the chemical composition of the metal. Water and salts are the main culprits in the oxidation process. Rust can be a problem with cement, clothing and carpets which have been in close proximity to rusting metal.”

“For metal to rust, two reactions must occur,” Mr. Douglas says. “Metal to metal ions and electrons must be converted by oxidation, and a second reaction in which electrons are consumed by converting oxygen and water to hydroxide ions. In order for these reactions to occur, the electrons must be transported from the place where the metal dissolves to the place where the oxygen is consumed and an ionic current must also flow between the sites to complete the circuit. This ionic current flows more easily through water containing electrolytes such as salt. That is why rust occurs more often in areas with salt in the environment. When used according to instructions, Oxystrip is completely safe and effective. Never worry about the destructive and unsightly effects of rust again. Oxystrip is the rust removal solution.”

Lane Weinberg: Super Results From Pro Bono Bet

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) January 28, 2012

The New York Giants? thrilling overtime win in Sunday?s NFC Championship didn?t only send Big Blue to Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis ? it brought a ray of hope to people on two coasts in desperate need of free legal assistance.

San Francisco attorney Lane Weinberg and New York City attorney David Barros, former roommates at Northwestern University Law School, have been best friends and bitter sports rivals for over 20 years. California native Weinberg is a major fan of Major League Baseball?s San Francisco Giants and the fabled Forty-Niners of the National Football League; Brooklyn, New York, native Barros naturally supports such legendary franchises as MLB?s New York Yankees and the NFL?s New York Giants.

While their sporting rivalry is mostly friendly, the two have been known to place heavy wagers when their respective favorites square off. So, when the football Giants faced the Niners in this week?s National Football Conference championship game, it was only natural the two attorneys had a little action on the side.

Only, it wasn?t so little. And unlike previous wagers in their betting history ? including round-trip airfare to Las Vegas, a month?s rent in their respective offices and tickets to numerous sporting events ? the spoils of this bet wouldn?t directly benefit the winner.

With a Super Bowl berth on the line, Lane Weinberg and Barros each put up 50 hours of pro bono legal service for the benefit of indigent persons. The loser, according to Weinberg, would spend the time representing destitute clients in the other lawyer?s city on issues including homelessness, termination of public benefits and others.

?It was actually David?s idea, but I was all for it,? Lane Weinberg said. ?We all forget sometimes about the less-fortunate members of our society, especially when there?s not a Thanksgiving food drive or a Christmas toy drive to remind us. They?re out there, winter, spring, summer and fall, struggling to survive, every day.

?David and I are both fortunate to live comfortable lives,? Weinberg added. ?We?ve worked hard to build these lives, but there?s no doubt we?ve been blessed. And if we can do something that assists others who haven?t been as fortunate, we?re very happy to do it.?

Each attorney regularly performs pro bono work in his respective city ? Lane Weinberg dedicates ?about 10 percent? of his professional time to free services, he said ? so both Weinberg and Barros easily provided a long list of desperate clients with pressing legal issues, including many homeless persons.

?Lane Weinberg and I are both intimately familiar with the plight of the homeless,? Barros noted. ?My practice focuses more on family law and Lane?s has more personal injury cases, but we?ve both worked with homeless clients on a number of issues and we know the uphill battle they face.?

Even though he won the bet and is happy to collect Lane Weinberg?s 50 hours, Barros ? perhaps giddy with Super Bowl fever ? has pledged to donate some time to indigent clients in San Francisco. While Weinberg logs hours with the New York City-based Coalition for the Homeless, Barros said he plans to contact the San Francisco-based Homeless Youth Alliance, where Lane Weinberg is a regular visitor.

?Lane has told me about the work they do and what some of those kids go through,? Barros noted. ?I?m happy to offer some help, since Lane will be busy boning up on New York statutes. Of course, I still won the bet. The Giants are still going to the Super Bowl, and Lane Weinberg lost huge. In the scope of our rivalry, that?s what matters most.?

For Weinberg, who graduated Northwestern Law alongside Barros in 1989, the agony of this particular loss is ultimately soothed by the good the two attorneys are doing in their rival?s hometown.

?I enjoy helping others,? Lane Weinberg said. ?I firmly believe that, as human beings, if we?re in a position to help someone who needs it, we always should. And Dave feels the same way.?

About Lane Weinberg

Northwestern University Law School graduate Lane Weinberg is a San Francisco, California-based attorney focused on personal injury matters. A staunch advocate of the homeless in San Francisco and other cities, he?s an avid chess player in his spare time. He lives in Berkeley, California, with his wife, Lorna, and their three children.

New Release Shares Message of Warning from AIDS Survivor; Book by Don Carrel

MISSION, Kan. (PRWEB) December 21, 2011

The author has beaten incredible odds: Thirty years after being infected with HIV, he is alive and crusading for the prevention of HIV/AIDS, he writes. For instance, ?about 2 percent or less of those infected with HIV in 1981 are still living,? he notes in this new book. Although he has had full-blown AIDS since 1995, Don Carrel works tirelessly to teach young people about HIV. His mission began at a low point of his life. While in the hospital with Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia ? the most common cause of death for someone with AIDS, he notes, ? Don had a dream in which he was informed he would NOT die but would survive to share his story with others in an effort to prevent HIV. That dream changed his life.

In My Dream to Trample AIDS, Carrel aims to bring his message to even more people in an attempt to stomp out AIDS. Carrel?s presentations, filled with personal stories, bring the horrors of the disease to life, providing a powerful incentive to remain healthy. He describes not only the physical aspects of the disease and how to prevent it but the psychological and financial impact the devastating diagnosis can bring. Examples include a brilliant friend who suffers AIDS-related dementia and a young man who learns he has AIDS a day before his 21st birthday. Carrel also shares a message of hope, from the puppy that saves his life to excerpts from letters written by people who have heard his life-changing presentations. His heartfelt story exemplifies the significance of life, family, friends and faith.

Author Don Carrel grew up in the Kansas City area. He earned a degree in business management at Kansas State University. He has two sons, Chris and Matt. He managed an insurance and investment agency, owned a gourmet gift shop, a cafe and a toy store. He has been with his partner, Chris, since 1997. Over a three-year period, his AIDS Walk team, Don?s Teens Trample AIDS, raised more than $ 100,000 to support AIDS Walk Kansas City. Carrel?s dedication earned him the Ribbon of Hope award presented by the AIDS Service Foundation of Greater Kansas City in 2005.

Solar Photovoltaic Companies Shifting from Focus on Market Share Growth to Profitability in 2012

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) December 19, 2011

Financial challenges are forcing solar photovoltaic (PV) companies to shift focus from seeking market share to instead prioritizing a return to profitability, finds NPD Solarbuzz?s latest Solarbuzz Quarterly report issued today. Global demand is projected to grow 6% in 2012, so market declines in Europe will be offset by 43% growth outside that region. Therefore, solar companies will face the challenge of re-building margins during a period of increasing diversity in end solar market mix.

In 2012, the top priority of PV companies will be to improve their financial position after losses across the industry in 2011 that were caused by over-production, excess inventories, and collapsing market prices. Cell manufacturers are poised to hold production flat in 2012, but Q1?12 is still forecast to drop 5% Q/Q as manufacturers manage inventory during seasonal weakness.

As a first step on this road, manufacturers have cut 4.9 GW from their previous goal of 28.2 GW of module shipments in 2011. With the industry now projected to benefit from a modest 12% increase in 2011 demand over previous estimates, global module inventories will be reduced to 7.3 GW by year-end, down from NPD Solarbuzz?s previous forecast of 8.6 GW.

Faster than expected growth in China and the United Kingdom helped to raise the latest 2011 global PV market forecast to 23.6 GW, up 22% Y/Y. The Chinese market development comes at an opportune time for domestic manufacturers, as the environment in the US market has become more uncertain since SolarWorld filed anti-dumping charges with the US Department of Commerce and International Trade Commission.

Downstream companies, particularly in Europe, acted aggressively in Q3?11 to cut inventories, making a reduction of 19 inventory days, with a further 45-day drop projected by the end of Q4?11. However, the dramatic 17% reduction in module prices in Q3?11 contributed to inventory write-offs of over $ 300 million in the quarter.

Gross margins for vertically-integrated Chinese tier 1 cell and module manufacturers decreased two percentage points Q/Q in Q3?11, while Western and Japanese manufacturers dealt with negative margins for the second quarter in a row. Margins for Chinese tier 2 and other Asian producers tracked by NPD Solarbuzz are also negative now. The 15% cut in German tariffs on January 1, 2012 all but ensures further reductions in module prices in the seasonally weak first quarter. Polysilicon prices that had held up until Q3?11 have now undergone a dramatic reduction as spot prices have taken their toll on contract pricing.

?While market share growth was the predominant corporate strategy at the beginning of the year, companies must now improve their financial viability, or they risk not being able to participate in the strong growth expected by grid parity now being established in key markets,? said Craig Stevens, President of NPD Solarbuzz.
